Ayesha Takia turns too pricey

Ayesha Takia has recentlty been on a walking out spree her first being the Hindi remake of Ghajini, has also walked out of Alladin and the Mystery of the Lamp.

Right now things seem to be not too rosy for Ayesha Takia. Her last big budget release ‘Fool n Final’ bombed badly at the box-office. Before that there was much hullabaloo about the actress being considered for Aamir Khan’s highly ambitious ‘Ghajini’.

Later on came the news that she has walked out of the prestigious project owing to certain differences best known to herself.

Ayesha Takia out of Aladin

Ayesha Takia who recently walked out of Aamir Khan’s Ghajini remake has also walked out of another big film now.

The actress was supposed to play the female lead role of Princess Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy film Aladin and the Mystery of the Lamp opposite Ritesh Deshmukh who plays Aladin in the film. However now she is no more a part of that project.

She refused to do Yash Raj Films ‘Neil N Nikki’. She justifies her move saying that, “I am answerable to my boyfriend and my parents.

Ayesha Takia, better known as Bollywood’s girl next door, says she is lucky she got a chance to work with Naseeruddin Shah in his directorial debut Yun Hota To Kya Hota.

“Working with a versatile and accomplished director like Naseeruddin Shah is a privilege that is available to only a few actors. I consider myself lucky to be one of them,” Ayesha said.

Yes, an Oscar. As Ayesha says, “I even know what I will do there. Like Charlize Theron’s acceptance speech, I will cry for 15 seconds and say thank you for another 15 seconds.”

The pretty n cute Ayesha is proud of her film Dor but she mentions, “Come to think of it, Dor was just 30% of what I can do as an actress.”

The Delhi experience is proving to be quite excruciating for Ayesha Takia. Here for the shooting of her latest film, Ayesha’s accompanied by her mother Faridah. Both of them are foodies , but poor Ayesha is on a diet, and so she can’t get a ‘taste’ of Delhi.

I don’t expose: Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia is in a philosophical mood. “Why do I keep on getting more roles?” she asks. Uh, what was that again? “No, what I mean is I don’t expose, don’t do what people want me to do and don’t even go to award functions to be seen.

Then, why do I keep getting more roles?” Ayesha asks. She then goes on to solve the puzzle for you. “I guess it is because of the audience. They love my work. In fact, it was after seeing Dor that director Rohit Shetty signed me for his Sunday,” the actor says alluding to the film for which she is shooting in the city presently.

Ask her which is that one film she is proud of and pat comes the answer, ” Dor ! But come to think of it, Dor was just 30 per cent of what I can deliver as an actor.”
