In a unique programming coup, the ever-popular Film Cafe on the BBC Asian Network (UK) has scooped Tusshar Kapoor & Manish Malhotra together, through Studio 18 UK.

The young film star and the industry’s No.1 dress designer will co-host Film Cafe live on Saturday 14th April from 11 am (British Time) with British-Asian actor and BBC presenter, Ameet Chana.

Among other things, Tusshar will talk about his forthcoming romantic comedy, Kya Love Story Hai, which releases worldwide on 20th April. The film, which is already in the news for its chartbusting music by Pritam and Kareena Kapoor’s sensational appearance, is being distributed and marketed internationally by Studio 18. Ayesha Takia is back in Mumbai after a 15-day shooting spell in Delhi for Rohit Shetty’s Sunday.

Now, Ayesha has told people close to her that she won’t promote the film if she is not promoted well in the screenshots of the yet to be released Kya Love Story Hai.

Tusshar Kapoor, the male lead, has been going all out to promote the film but Ayesha has not been talking about it at all. Says producer N R Pachisia, “I haven’t spoken to Ayesha lately, but I have heard that she is upset.

Excerpts from an interview…

You are three years old in the film industry, have nine films to your credit and so many awards….
It really feels great to receive an award, but that is not the bottomline for me. When the media, film critics, audiences and people at large like my performance in a particular film, then that becomes the real award for me. Everyone’s appreciation for my work in Dor was my real award.

After a serious film like Dor, you must have been offered many similar roles. Didn’t you feel like following up with another serious character, rather than doing a fun filled film?

According to sources, Ayesha Takia is not happy. The promos of the forthcoming film, KYA LOVE STORY HAI were giving her all the possible attention till Kareena Kapoor’s sensational track ‘It’s Rocking Yaara Kabhi Ishq To Karo’ came on air and briskly moved up the charts.

Producer N R Pachisia on his part does not altogether deny the story. “I haven’t spoken to Ayesha lately but I have heard that she is a bit upset.

This will explain actress Ayesha Takia’s cute chubby look in the promos of the forthcoming Kya Love Story Hai, releasing on April 20.

During the shoot of the film in Cape Town, it seems that Ayesha and her mother Faridah were regulars at the famous Ocean Basket restaurant in Victoria Wharf at the Waterfront.
