So much has been talked about Wanted. So much has been talked about Salman Khan too. But what about Ayesha Takia Azmi, the heroine of Wanted? It looks like she is not Wanted if we are to go by the publicity and hype on her.

Salman has been seen everywhere for the last couple of weeks – all for Wanted. He has been aggressively promoting it like never before. No doubt it is a complete Salman film but can he win the battle all alone without his heroine Ayesha? He just can’t as far as his character in Wanted is concerned. Unfortunately, Ayesha has not been given enough publicity.

Salman takes Ayesha on promotional campaigns only sometimes. The film is crucial for Ayesha as much as it is for Salman, as she is yet to taste success after tying the knot. She surely deserves better publicity!

Ayesha plays Salman’s ladylove in Wanted, produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Prabhu Deva. It is releasing today, 18th September.

Ayesha Takia has been getting great compliments on her recent weight loss and she credits it to Baba Ramdev’s Yoga. However, the actress who will soon sizzle on screen with ‘Wanted’ is upset with the Yoga Guru for his recent comments on actors.

“Baba Ramdev’s Yoga is very good. He is really a genius and I religiously follow him. But his comment that all the actors are characterless is very demeaning. I think he shouldn’t have made such a comment in general. It was a turn off,” said Ayesha talking about the issue.

Ayesha also informed that Baba Ramdev invited her once at one of his yoga sessions but looking at the huge crowd she decided not to attend it. Revealing the secrets behind her hot and healthier new look Ayesha said, “I am very careful about what I eat these days. For me dieting is not starving. I have included healthy options like salads, grilled chicken, green vegetables and juices to my diet.”

Ayesha is also taking tips from her mother to lose weight. “My body weight has been fluctuating. I feel that my body can look great if I work out and put some more efforts. I have great stamina and I can work out for hours. My mom used to be an aerobic instructor so she’s guiding me. My sister Natasha, I and my mom work out together.” She signs off.

Salman Khan’s upcoming Eid release, WANTED, is becoming hotter and hotter. As the D-day approaches huge posters and cut outs of the film can be seen adorning the walls of single screens and multiplexes. The music by Sajid-Wajid is fast becoming a rage, and ”Love Me Love Me” can already be heard on the streets. So, is there anything that is negative in the film?

Well, some people from the trade are of the view that Ayesha Takia, the lead heroine of WANTED is not a commercially successful actress. They feel that she may be very talented but after all these years, is still to deliver a commercially successful flick.

And people associate her with more of art house cinema like DOR etc, rather than an out an out commercial potboiler. Apart from that she is already married and sort of retiring from cinema. So, what does Salman Khan feel about it? Salman rubbishes the talk saying that these are narrow minded talks which have no basis. Ayesha is an extremely professional actress and has done a terrific job in WANTED.

He added that today’s audience has changed and many actresses are working after marriage and are very much in demand, both by the public as well as the producers. He revealed that Ayesha plans to continue acting and has quite a few good projects and is getting a lot of offers even after her marriage.

Ayesha Takia feels all the thrill and excitement for the release of her latest movie, ‘Wanted’. She stands up to the expectations of her fans in the movie and also assures for greater performance in the future.

She plans to stay for a long time in the industry trying as many challenging roles as possible. She is signing more movies and will not just disappear into the wood-work of post-marriage. She has confirmed about this through her website jottings where she has typed “Hey people, I just wanna make it clear that I will be doing lots more films! I love films and will continue to do them.”

Besides ‘Wanted’, Ayesha will be seen in a couple of movies such ‘Paathshaala’ with Shahid Kapoor and Revathy Verma’s ‘Aap Ke Liye Hum’ with Jaya Bachchan.

Ayesha is a wonderful actress who does every justification to the role which she plays. She, in fact, lives the character. She says “I contemplate and am on the fence about a lot of things! I’ve just realized that I’m a normal, confused young person of 2009… by normal I mean real and someone who is sometimes confused and doesn’t decide in an instant!”

Ayesha Takia remains committed to Revathy Verma’s new film despite almost being dropped from the project.

The director had reportedly approached Sonal Chauhan to replace Takia in Aap Ke Liye Hum after the film’s shooting schedule was rescheduled.

Speaking to The Times of India, Chauhan admitted she had been offered a leading role in the film.

Ayesha Takia is not ready to wait for director Revathy Varma and wants to give a final say on the project she was doing with her.

“Aap Ke Liye Hum” project which stars Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Ayesha Takia, and Madhavan. Though others are fine with it, Ayesha seems to be not easy in taking the delay any more.

Revathy’ had to undergo an emergency knee surgery. This has again delayed the project for the third time. And Ayesha is in no mood to say third time luck any more.

Though Revathy has been unavailable to give her view, Ayesha has made it clear that she would do the film only when she has dates.

Girl-next-door Ayesha Takia has dismissed once and for all any suggestions that she will be winding down her movie career now that she is married. “Hey people, I just wanna make it clear that I will be doing lots more films! I love films and will continue to do them,” she confirmed.

Currently excited about her role opposite Salman Khan in Wanted, she has been in-and-out of the production of Aap Ke Liye Hum and admits that she sometimes finds it difficult to make the right decision.

Still, Ayesha can always rely on her mother to help her make her decisions. Despite her recent marriage, Ayesha meets up with her mother every single day. “I travel for three hours every day to meet Ayesha,” says Mom, “I decided to shift to Bandra so that I can save up on at least an hour each day.”

Ayesha was last seen in 8 X 10 Tasveer with Akshay Kumar and tied the knot with political big wig Abu Azmi’s son Farhan Azmi. The actress who stars opposite Salman Khan in Wanted is ecstatic about the film and says, “Wanted will blow you away, the action, the music and the script is one of a kind and a lot of hardwork has been put into the film.”

Ayesha plays the sweet and innocent Jhanvi who falls for the dreaded hitman Radhe played by Salman Khan. “My character follows her heart and confesses her love for Radhe unknowing of the perils she and him both would have to face later on. I simply loved working on the film. We shot in such beautiful locales, and to work with Prabhudeva and Salman was such a wonderful experience,” Ayesha added.

But then what about the news of her retiring from the industry, She says quickly, “They’re just rumours, I’m very much a part of the industry and have no plans of retiring, I have Paathshaala with Shahid Kapoor coming up and Revathy Verma’s Aap Ke Liye Hum with Jayaji.” Ayesha also had plans of starting her own fashion line, “That’s true, I love fashion and I am working on the details of starting my own line by next year,” she signed off.

Considering the number of delays Revathy’s film is going through and that Wanted and Paathshaala were shot before her wedding, we’re still hesitant on overruling the retiring part, we’ll just give it some time what say?

Ayesha Takia doesn’t want to get pregnant when she is on her way to climb to the top of her career in Bollywood. She says, I have married but I am too young to be pregnant. In fact, her two upcoming flicks ‘Wanted’ and ‘Pathshala’ are ready to hit the silver screens with different actors in the lead role.

While Salman Khan is featuring with her in ‘Wanted’ she is playing opposite Shahid Kapoor in ‘Pathshala’. Even after marriage with her boyfriend Farhan Azmi, Ayesha Takia still wants to continue her career as an actress in Bollywood because her career is more important than anything in her life.

She says, I am not in the list of those girls who got married and left their work and turned housewives. She doesn’t want to make her career secondary choice. Her husband also loves her working in movies, and has no issue with it.

She is happy with her husband, thus she could focus firmly on her career. During promotion tour of her upcoming flick ‘Wanted’, she has mentioned that she is going to try her hand in the field of fashion designing. Even, by the end of this year she is going to deliver her fashion collections in the market, she adds.
