Archita Kashyap: How come you are so excited about such serious film?

Ayesha Takia: Vishal Bhardwaj is a director I have always wanted to work with so when he came to me with the film I took it up immediately. There are other people in India making such films, like Mira Nair, Farhan Akhtar and Santosh Shivan. So it’s an honour for me to work in this film.

Archita Kashyap: So in the early part of the month you’ll be shooting for this film and then you start work on the remake of Gajini in which you star opposite Aamir Khan.

Ayesha Takia: I’m really excited about that role as it’s really good for me. Even if a film small, what matters to me is what I’m doing in the film.

In a film like Dor, there were relatively two newcomers with me and it was a small budget film but it opened a lot of doors for me. So Gajini will be a great film and it’s being directed by A R Murugadass, who made the original Gajini. So I’m really looking forward to it.
