She won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance in Taarzan. The news is that Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia was supposed to do marriage with Farhan Azmi on Christmas but her marriage has now been held off to mid-2009 due to terror attacks in Mumbai.

According to Farhan Azmi, “Ayesha is presently in Greece shooting a song for Boney Kapoor’s film Wanted. When Ayesha knew about the attacks, she shocked. My father was in a hospital recovering from an operation. None of us are in the mood for any celebrations this year. We will do marriage in 2009 and it will be a small and private affair.”

Farhan Azmi further added, “Nariman House is seven buildings away from our home and very close to the Taj and Oberoi hotels. When the Oberoi was sealed, many guests came from there to Koyla and Café Basilico (both owned by Farhan). None wanted to stay, so I took them home. On the first night from Koyla, which is 500m away from the Taj, we could see the fire burning on the sixth floor and hear women and children crying.”

It is said that Ayesha Takia had informed all her directors and producers that she will give up acting after she does marriage and she intended to complete all her committments before December.
