Advertisers have always liked small kids. And years ago, two such kids, a good-looking boy and a cute little girl, had become a nationwide rage promoting the energy drink Complan.

While the boy proudly exclaimed “I am a Complan Boy”, the girl piped in with her “I am a Complan girl” bit. The ad is still etched in our memories, but do we know what happened to the little kids? Of course, we do.

They are today’s teen heartthrobs of the nation—the super cool Shahid Kapoor and the glamorous Ayesha Takia. Years after they did the Complan commercial, Shahid and Ayesha have managed to make a mark for themselves in the big, bad world of Bollywood.

What’s more, the duo was even romantically paired opposite each other in films like Dil Maange More and Fool-N-Final. They will also be seen in Ahmed Khan’s forthcoming film Paathshala.

But just in case you are wondering who benefited the most from Complan, we’d like to say it’s Ayesha!
